4worldlovers: As a mother of two, I know how hard it can be to let go. You hope for the best possible childcare which caters to the needs of the individual child, although you are ultimately putting your trust in someone else.

With these concerns in mind, I decided to develop an environment that would provide competent, round-the-clock childcare, in accordance with my personal vision. Along with the idea of a bilingual learning concept, it was also important for me to have a nurturing environment with flexibility through long opening hours. In September 2009, we opened the first Kindergarten in the International Preschool Nymphenburg. This was followed by the International House for Kids with a crèche and kindergarten, and since September 2016, we are also able to offer after-school care (Hort) at International House for Schoolkids, which runs alongside the kindergarten and preschool.

At International House for Kids, we’d like to make an active contribution toward the future. As the world we live in seems to get smaller and smaller through technical and communicative advancements, challenges and also new possibilities are arising.


We believe that the key to a peaceful atmosphere with innovative development is a strong competence in language and communication. Therefore we want to do our duty by educating children to become independant and confident people who are able to reflect. Furthermore, we would like them to be able to think outside the box and be ready for the globalised world.

Our aim is to offer learning through play in a safe and stimulating environment to a range of children from the „very little ones“ (6 months old through to the kindergarten and preschool) right up to the „big kids“ in primary school. In these secure surroundings, the children are able to learn and develop their skills without disruption.

Due to the fact that the children spend a large proportion of the day with us, we fill that time with plenty of positive experienes and fun activities. We place the individual needs of the children at the forefront and we ensure a continually positive environment with an unconditional respectful conduct.


This enables the children to develop a healthy self-esteem, which forms the basis of learning without barriers. Furthermore, this provides children with the security to form stable relationships, which as a result strengthens their confidence in the world and in themselves. We encourage the children’s independence and self-awareness and support them in their aspirations to learn and to try out new things – this means that the children can LEARN whilst not growing up too quickly.

4worldlovers: The International Preschool Munich is one of Munich’s first and most established private English-speaking educational day care centres encompassing nursery, kindergarten and preschool. In three groups we offer children from the age of 18 months till their enrolment in elementary school a learning environment that is stimulating, fun and warm.

Our Mini Preschool programme uses hands-on exploration and social interaction in a safe, stimulating and engaging environment to help your child learn about his or her expanding world.


The Upper Preschool is divided into two separate age groups: one class for ages 3 and 4 and a class for ages 5 and 6. This way we are able to provide more age-appropriate lessons and support for each individual child. This also enables our teachers a more focused approach for the children as they grow and develop.


Through the educational content of our specially designed project themes, our experienced teachers and through incorporating elements of Montessori teaching, we present children with the best tools for discovering the world around them. Our Preschool Curriculum is closely modelled on the British National Curriculum and is followed by all Preschool classes.


Being based in Bavaria, elements of the Bavarian Educational Plan (“Bayerischer Bildungs- und Erziehungsplan”) are incorporated as well as best-practice elements that our international teachers bring from different curriculums around the world.


The monthly Meal Fee includes: breakfast, lunch, snacks, fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as unsweetened tea and water. Our organic and mainly regional food is freshly prepared each day by our caterer. Naturally, we cater to vegetarians, those with food allergies (a medical note is required) and other restrictive diets.


Pick-up times include a total grace period of 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, each additional hour is charged with a 10,- € Late Pick-Up Fee. Sibling discount: 5% for the younger child of two / 5% for the two youngest children of three.


The one-time registration fee is due within seven days after the contract is concluded. This fee is non-refundable, even if the contract is terminated or the childcare place is not occupied.

4worldlovers: Welcome to our preschool in the heart of Munich. We are a close-knit international community, providing a nurturing environment for our children.

English Instruction: Instruction is mainly in English. However, some activities are conducted in German. In addition, we prepare all the children who are in their last year of kindergarten for their entry into the German school system.

Ages 3 to 6: Our preschool, founded in 1993, is open to kindergarten-aged children. Its small size ensures that the quality of education remains high, and that children have individual attention.

Montessori: Our preschool provides structure but encourages children to follow their interests.

The preschool is a recognized educational facility and as such is a non-profit, subsidized institution. Parents are obliged to take an active role in the administrative tasks and day-to-day affairs related to the running of the preschool.
