The wines from the Szuromi winery from Eger impressed us with their balance, liveliness and elegance and above all convinced with an extraordinarily long finish on our summer shopping tour. The Szuromi winegrowing family has only been selling their wines under their own name since the end of 2021. The start of sales was good with the award “Bester Egri Bikvér” at the BORVIDÉK wine competition (in the bull-blood stronghold of Eger). (09/15/2022)

The international wine competition “Winelovers Wine Award” took place in Budapest on June 20-21. As a member of the jury, it was a pleasure for me to classify a number of outstanding red and white wines as candidates for the award. What was particularly remarkable was the high level of the wines that I tasted in the blind tastings and in master classes. After 2 years of CORONA compulsory break we did not want to wait any longer and we started with a spring wine fair. For the first time, 9 different wine themes (a total of 33 x wines) were served at open wine buffets. The highlight of the event was the wine ALPHA (€ 150) from the Vesztergombi winery, which was announced with BIG GOLD from Szekszard. Do not be sad! The next wine tasting will definitely take place in autumn. The topic will not be revealed yet! We look forward to seeing you (again)!
